I’m Greg, a UK-based photographer working between Leeds and York, specialising in low-light and event photography. My work is rooted in capturing honest, candid moments — images that reflect the atmosphere, energy, and emotion of an event as it naturally unfolds.
I’m particularly drawn to live events and music, where the most compelling moments often happen between the obvious ones. Working in challenging lighting environments has shaped both my technical approach and my creative instincts, allowing me to work unobtrusively while preserving the authenticity of the scene. Post-production plays a key role in my process, used to enhance mood and maintain the integrity of the moment rather than overpower it.
Alongside event photography, my background in astrophotography has influenced my patience, attention to detail, and appreciation for subtle light. Whether photographing a performance, a crowd, or a fleeting interaction, my aim is to create images that feel immersive, natural, and true to the moment they were taken.
Why Nerina
Nerina is a name inspired by a memorable trip to Rome and my fondness for cats. It pays tribute to Nerina, a well-known feline who lived around the Colosseum and became something of a local mascot. The name represents character, atmosphere, and a sense of place — qualities I strive to bring into my photography.
